OUR MISSION



Our mission is to insure fair and clean government for every citizen by promoting an open and honest election process in a non-partisan manner. We will work to expose city, county and state corruption wherever it may exist. We resolve to:



· Work through the election and legal processes to remove the politicians and bureaucrats responsible for that corruption and replace them with trustworthy and dedicated individuals irrespective of party affiliation.



· Monitor the actions of the members of appointed committees, boards and trusts to insure the protection of citizen interests and promote replacements, as may be necessary, from time to time.



· Be open to, but not formally endorse any party or candidate, letting them stand or fall on their own merits in the light of truth.



· Welcome every citizen, office holder, candidate or board member who wishes to participate in our Republic form of government as outlined by the United States and Oklahoma State Constitutions to the end that the people, with divine guidance from God, are the masters of their government and not its slaves.



OUR FOUNDATION



Citizens for Fair an Clean Government was founded by David O'Connor and Larry Wilson to defeat the recall of two trustworthy and dedicated city councilmen who exhibited the spirit of the core values that we the people like to see in our government leadership. During this process many good citizens stepped forward in an initial effort to take back our city from a network of elitists who had seemingly hijacked local government for their own selfish ends. The recall was eventually defeated but not before it was noted that citizen and voter apathy were at the core of the people losing control of their own government.



It was evident that Citizens for Fair and Clean Government had a grassroots role to play in the future welfare of our people. It was resolved that the people can be empowered through civic education and discussion of current affairs to make an informed vote at the polls and take back control of their government which by divine right belongs in their hands alone.



May we be guided in all our ways by Almighty God and may He make our path straight and principled in the manner of our Lord Jesus Christ who shows the way. Amen.
